The difference between health-related and skill-related physical fitness is health-related fitness has to do with things everybody does even if they do not know they do it. Skill-related fitness is more about what one is capable of doing, everyone doesn't have good speed and everyone can't keep their balance.

The skill-related components of physical fitness are speed, agility, coordination, balance, reaction time, and power.

Why does a person not have to be a good athlete to be physically fit?

A person doesn't have to be a good athlete to be physically fit because even all athletes aren't physically fit. Just because a person can't play certain sports one can find some other way to get physically fit like eating healthy, walking around the block and other things that can help improve one being physically fit.
